A New Road

Well, It has been a great road trip with Fallen Footwear and Black Box Distribution. Recently there has been some changes going on with the White Flag Sales Initiative. We have recently took on a position with Sole Technology Inc. representing Etnies, Es, Emerica, and Altamont in the New England zone. This is a very big deal for us all over here in the offices. We are currently restructuring to handle the load. Fallen and Black Box are great brands so keep on supporting. We are all very excited with our new venture and have the opportunity to work for such a great organization! Great days ahead!

Featured Fallen of the week

Well, here is a new installment to the blog. Every week we will be reviewing a featured Fallen Footwear shoe for you all to seek out. This week we have chosen the Rising Sun SE in the White/Red/Black color combo and the Purple/Black color combo. This is a mid height vulcanized shoe. Great for skating and style. Not many stores offer this model, so its not going to be seen on everyones feet. This Special Edition is hard to get your hands on. RED DAWN REMAKE?

Just in from Cannes. There has been a rumbling that MGM might possibly do a remake of the 1984 classic film RED DAWN. For those of you who have never seen the original, I definitely suggest going to your favorite video store or get on Netflix and get this movie. It was the first ever PG-13 rated film. If this does get remade, I will be first in line. No joke. Wolverines til the end.

Loon Mountain's Hike N Huck

Well, I have been putting off posting these photos of Hike N Huck last week. Call it denial and I dont want the snow to go away, whatever. Spring is upon us and what a day it offered up for us all at Loon last week for Hike N Huck. The sun was blazing all day and the snow held up pretty well. I have a sunburn to prove it. It was great to get the few remaing die hards back up on snow for the "official" end of the 07-08 winter season. Great to see The Loon Park Crew, Shawn Murphy, Shawn Ryan, Justin Keniston, Chrissy Carelli, Kevin Bell, Jay Scambio, Brian Norton, Neil Korn from East Coat Snowboarding Magazine, Jay V, Ashley, etc. If i missed you sorry, I was drinkin beers a majority of the day. So, just wanted to give everyone a shout out for coming out and it has been a great snow season, pray for it next year! enjoy the pics.

LOON MOUNTAIN

Well it was quite the season at LOON MOUNTAIN this year. The park crew fukn killed it. The park was insane. I came across this shot of the jumpline thru the park. It still blows me away. LOON is the funnest place to ride. Props go out to the park crew and Brian Norton and Jay Scambio. This photo is one for the memory books! Go ride LOON if you can.

EASTERN BOARDERS - LAST CALL

One more in the books for Eastern Boarder's Last Call at Loon Mountain, NH!
This gala event took place on Weds March 26 which started off under a brief NH cloud shroud, but eventually opened up to sunny skies after the contest had finished. Typical New England weather! Anyway, the contest welcomed 80 participants from all over the nation. It was great to see familiar new england boys all making it home to battle it out for the cash! Props to be given out to the Loon Mountain Park Crew and Eastern Boarder for contsructing, what I believe to be, some of the most unbelieveable obstacles I have seen the guys make for this contest. Fukn massive effort! But once again, Loon pulled it off without a hitch! The constructed Hip is one of the biggest I have seen on the East Coast in quite some time! Plenty of beverages were consumed making it for once again a very fun time! I actually ahve no idea who won, I was having too much fun taking some turns, so check the EB sites out for that info. Loon Mtn Shop Showdown

Yeee haaaw!
Another Loon Mountain Shop Showdown is in the books! This years events included a one footed slalom race, a pipe session and a rail session at the new improved Loon Mountain park yurt. Many outstanding costumes and riding going on throughout the day by everyone! Jesus and Satan (Carr and Big Mike) representing Eastern Boarder came out once again on top. The infamous trophy goes home with Eastern Boarder until next season. Thanks to everyone for coming out. Thanks to Avert Guldemund for scaring the shit out of us all. I hate clowns. Justin Kneiston didnt get the memo, you were suppose to come in costume, not be yourself. Thanks to Andre Beriau for looking extra "hip". Thanks to Shaun Murphy for killing it once again. BALDFACE PROGRAM TRIP

Well, we here at White Flag were lucky enough to travel with the inhouse crew and some key national accounts to the Baldface lodge which is located high up in the Selkirk Mountains of Nelson , British Columbia. The lodge is ranked amongst the best riding places on earth for terrain and snow conditions, and now based on a personal experience, I would have to agree 200%. We arrived in the small sleepy town of Nelson, BC and stayed the night there the night prior and in the next morning then caught the helicopter to the lodge, we experience the majestic environment down by the river. It was an epic day. There was not much for snow depth in Nelson, but dont let that mislead you. Up at the lodge there was plenty of fresh untracked steep snow. We caught the helicopter in the afternoon. We happened to find out that the Volcom pro team had been filming the week stay before our arrival and we happened to catch the "Guch" Bjorn and Huot coming off the chopper as we rolled on in. Flying up is quite the experience and when we caught sight of the Lodge nestled up in the mountains, we knew we were in for a once in a lifetime adventure. We got off the chopper and proceeded into the main lodge, catching a glimpse of the cross on the ridge above that is dedicated to one of the best snowboarders of all time, Craig Kelly. The next morning we awoke to quite a vista from our chalet. We then proceeded to breakfast and avalance transeiver training, which proved quite vital to a few of our crew. The 3rd day a few of the crew ran into a small category avalanche. They all rode it out and were safe, but enough to rattle the nerves for sure. Our guides Brad and Carla were on point gettting our snow cat #2 to the best snow and terrain of the week. Thanks so much guys! Sorry about us 8 getting lost for about 20 mins. The week went by way too quick, wish I was still there, but we will always have photos of the one of the best operations on earth...Baldface. Enjoy the pics and peep their site. Day Off

Well, believe it or not, we here at the office took a day off last monday to go shred. It has been so chaotic to say the least in the office, that we all needed to meet up with friends and enjoy the nice weather. We met up with Mark, Trevor and BK from Oakley along with Chris Carr, Big Mike, Teddy Lavoie, Ryan Stefany, and White Flag Cover Girl Chrissy Carelli! What a day, it was super Fun. Chrissy was out test riding the womens Spinster board from FORUM and of course the NEW ASHBURY GOGGLES were getting test run the whole day by myself! I have never been so psyched on a goggle before! Cant wait for y'all to see them in the stores next fall!

PROVIDENCE RI

And here we are again at the annual Providence show. At least he had on day between Stratton demo and Providence to rest. HAHA! FORUM-WATERVILLE DROPPING BOMBS

Straight from getting off the plane from Vegas we had to drive directlt to Waterville Valley, NH for the First annual Forum Dropping Bombs contest! We made it to Plymouth at 3:30 am and just had to crash out at the beautiful Red Roof Inn. HAHA. Not really that beautiful. Anyway got up early and the Bombs had been set on the course and registration had begun. The wind was a factor that day, but overall a very fun jam! When it was all said and done Shaun Murphy once again showed us his talented riding and took first place! Congrats Shaun! This photo was pretty F-n sick! Way to drop the F bomb! VEGAS- The Program

Well, once again sorry for any delays in getting you all the info you so desire. Its been a whirlwind to say the least. Vegas SIA show was absolutely ridiculous as usual. The Program booth was totally out of hand. It was modeled after a mock stock exchange. Deals were being cut all day as the traders yelled , screamed , and exalted their enthusiasm by smashing keyboards, calculaters and cell phones all day long. No rest for the wicked there. Needless to say, beyond the chaos business was going down ina huge way. The excitement of next years Forum, Blend, and Foursquare will make you wantb to take a cell phone and smash it to celebrate how Fukn good the products are!
